AmCham Foundation Philippines launches scholarship run to help underprivileged students.


On May 27, the American Chamber Foundation Philippines in partnership with Chevron Philippines, will be “racing” to give those underprivileged kids a better future through the “Run for a Scholar” charity event at the 9th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City. The money raised will go to AmCham Foundation’s scholarship program. This year, it hopes to raise enough to send 100 scholars to school. Actor and current Optical Media Board (OMD) Chairperson Ronnie Rickets will be at the race to lead the run together with the ABS-CBN Star Magic Artists.

The charity walk/run is open to both running enthusiasts and newbies. There will be three categories: 3K, 5K and 10K. Assembly time is around 5 AM at the Bonifacio Global City. For only P500 to P600 registration fee, participants will not only get to participate in the race and help a child, they will also get a race kit, singlet, a loot bag and a chance to win fabulous prizes including Suunto watches, five-star hotel accommodation and many more. The top 100 finishers in each category will also receive medals while the first-place finishers from all three categories will receive a pair of running shoes from Somnio.
