Healthway HealthWallet Card, All You Need In Just One Card
In 2002, when I first worked overseas I wondered what could happen to me in a strange country where the climate and weather condition is different from the place where I grew up. I can say I am not the sickly type so I was a bit confident that time. Standing in line in the Immigration before checking in at the airport I reviewed every document in my hands. Wow, I have a Philhealth coverage for the duration of my contract! But, could I really use it outside the Philippines or even my beneficiaries here?
Healthway Medical Philippines together with Touchpoint Media and e.Xtend Inc. offered the HealthWallet for Immigration Arrival/Departure Promo from October to December 31, 2011. All foreign visitors, OFWs and balikbayan passengers of Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific International Flights were given an Arrival/Departure brochure, part of which is a tear off sheet to be presented to any HealthWay Cllinics (Alabang Town Center, Festival Mall, Greenbelt 5, Market! Market!, Shangri-la Mall, Robinsons Place Manila and SM North Edsa The Block) for a free HealthWallet Card until February 2012.
What's good about this HealthWallet Card is that it is fully transferable, shareable and reloadable. With just one card, every member of the family could enjoy the benefit of seeking medical help easily without having to pay fixed monthly fee or an authorization from the main cardholder. Since it is prepaid, it is only consumed once used. A fixed fee of Php 200 (cheaper than the usual charge of Php 300 - Php 500) is charged per consult with primary health care physicians for as long as the card is active and has been loaded with a minimun initial load of Php1,000.
Healthway services include executive checkups, laboratory tests, special consults, eye care, dental services, outpatine surgeries and diagnostic tests (endoscopy, X-ray and ultrasound mammography. HealthWallet cardholders also enjoy 20 per cent discount on laboratory, diagnostic, ancillary, rehab modalities, oral prophylaxis and dental restorative procedures.
This is a true gift to our new heroes, the OFWs who work hard for the well being of their families. With this card, they can be assured that their loved ones would be taken care of. This is also the campaign of Heathway Philippines' Mas Alaga, Mas Tiwala. Also, they are supporting the governement's initiatives to tap the country's tourism potential as foreigners could also benefit from this promo. This promotes Philippine health products and services as they may experience the quality of medical services it offers.
I might be writing again about the HealthWallet Card as I visit one of their branches after the holidays. I would be sharing my experience as a patient. I would also want my daughter to have a specialist check on her eyes.
